In the context of the Wednesday Seminars, organized by the Postgraduate Program Social and Historical Anthropology, the Laboratory of Ethnography and the Observatory of the Refugee and Migration Crisis in the Aegean, we have the pleasure to invite you to a lecture given by
Jane Cowan, Professor of Social Anthropology, University of Sussex, on
“Troubling the League of Nations archives toward a history of the present: An anthropologist reads petitions concerning minorities, refugees and “la situation Macédoine” and the encounters they generated”
The lecture will take place at the Laboratory of Ethnography, ATE Building, Mytilene, on Wednesday 31 October 2018 at 20:30. The lecture will be followed by discussion.
The seminars are open to all members of the University and the public.
